We are pleased to announce the speakers for the seminar on May 14th who will be presenting on developments taking place across Leicestershire in the schools and colleges.  

Nick Goffin College Principal, Gateway College - Development of a new build £33million Sixth Form College on a Greenfield site in Hamilton. The design is based on a 'street and pod' framework, directly linked to curriculum needs supported by IP communication technology. The college also aims to be an exemplar for 'Green features' including biomass boilers, wind turbine, PV cells - all controlled by intelligent automatic systems and 21st century technology for educational and building system needs.

Jane Bristow Director of Learning & Capital Projects, South Leicestershire College - In June last year the College was awarded outstanding grades in all areas of its inspection resulting in the achievement of Beacon status for the College. As a fast growing Further Education College it has outgrown its current site and is therefore moving to a Brownfield site on the edge of the South Wigston regeneration area with the aim being to create a building that articulates the College's culture of excellence.

Jim Tebbutt Development Manager, Miller Construction UK Ltd - Miller Construction is the main contractor for Leicester's £325million Building Schools for the Future (BSF) programme. Details will be presented on the objectives for the programme in Leicester City, where the programme is at currently and what the future holds. There will also be information on the procurement process and the resulting formation of the partnership company - Leicester Miller Education Company (LME).
