The next ProCon seminar will take place on Tuesday 11th May 2010, 6pm arrival for a 6.30pm start to the presentations. The venue is the City Rooms on Hotel Street in Leicester. We will aim for the presentations to finish no later than 7.30pm. There will be drinks and networking beyond this. From 1st April this year a new tax regime has been introduced. Businesses with energy costs over half million pounds per year will be subject to the carbon reduction commitment allowance scheme. This could involve an annual 'tax' payment of at least 40000 pounds. There are ways to avoid the payment and reduce energy costs. There are ways of making buildings more valuable to tenants and purchasers. There are opportunities to use the new energy generating systems and get 100 percent capital allowance for their provison if even a smaller property owner and there are grants and interest free loans to reduce energy costs. Robin Hooper, Director Public Services Group at HBJ Gateley Wareing and Ruth Gilbody, Director of Burcote Consultancy Limited will explain about the new systems, the options available for property owning businesses, property consultants, etc and the implications of not doing anything.
