RJA Consultants are one of the fastest growing construction consultancies in the Midlands.

By focusing on our twin targets of ‘happy clients’ and ‘happy staff’ we have enjoyed unprecedented growth over the last three years.

  • Turnover has increased five-fold
  • Staff numbers have grown four-fold
  • We currently have over 40 staff, and will have over 50 by the end of 2022

Working with RJA - Apprentices

We are very proud of our staff. We work hard not only to recruit the best, but also to provide the training and opportunities to ensure everyone is focussed and motivated.

We are fully committed to training the next generation of surveyors and for the second-year running have been nominated as Outstanding Apprentice of the Year Employer by Nottingham Trent University.

We currently employ five apprentices with three more joining in summer 2022 and are delighted with the fantastic progress every apprentice has made in their time with RJA.

Working with RJA – Becoming Chartered

RJA Consultants is a registered practice with the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors, and we encourage all our surveying staff to strive towards chartered status.

We have several members of the team who are working towards their Assessment of Professional Competence, and we have a dedicated programme of training and support to help them achieve their goal.

All APC candidates are appointed an in-house Supervisor and training sessions are held monthly to ensure the right experience is being provided and the designated competencies appraised and signed off.

Working with RJA – it’s not just about work…

Everyone works hard at RJA, but we like to think there’s more to life than work.

Fridays at RJA are ‘Feel-good Fridays’

It’s not only dress-down day, but it’s also ‘Pastry Friday’ as a wide selection of pastries, cookies and other treats are shared amongst the staff.

And of course, everyone finishes an hour early on Friday to start the weekend in earnest.

The social secretaries are regularly dreaming up new activities for the team to try and with the Covid pandemic hopefully coming to a close we are looking forward to trying a few more.

Every year we select a charity to support as a company and our team find many ingenious and varied ways to raise money.

Working with RJA – Corporate Social Responsibility Programme

RJA has recently launched a Corporate Social Responsibility Programme to support activities that enhance and serve the communities in which we live and work.

The programme allows our staff paid time off to give back and support the community. At the same time, we recognise that participating in these sorts of activities enriches the lives of the participants.

Finally – did you know?

RJA Consultants not only employ Project Managers and Quantity Surveyors from our two offices in Leicester and Nottingham but also have nine full-time, dedicated Clerks of Works dotted around the UK.

All of our Clerks of Works are specialist construction quality inspectors. With Clerks of Works spread across the country from Yorkshire in the North to London in the South this ensures we can provide a truly national coverage of inspection services.

We started out in 2004 and now employ over thirty talented and experienced people in our offices in Leicestershire and Nottinghamshire, plus a further ten Clerks of Works who are based across the UK from London to Yorkshire.

This philosophy has helped to drive the business forward and deliver growth in excess of 50% a year for the last three years… and this in the middle of a pandemic.

By offering a dynamic and flexible approach to all our projects and tailoring our services to meet the exact requirements of our clients we aim to exceed expectations. Our personal client-focussed approach has fostered many long-lasting relationships and the majority of our work is either repeat business or by personal recommendation.
