At Danaher & Walsh Civil Engineering, we focus on doing the job properly, working collaboratively with our clients, and leaving a positive, lasting impact on the communities we serve. Since 1969, we have built a strong reputation across the Midlands for delivering reliable, high-quality civil engineering solutions.
We work with local authorities, Tier 1 contractors and consultancies, delivering projects across highways, bridgeworks, public realm, infrastructure and through Pipeline Solutions. Our portfolio ranges from complex structural bridge schemes to city centre regeneration projects, but our approach remains consistent: practical, dependable and solutions focused.
Health and safety underpin everything we do. We are proud to hold the RoSPA Gold Medal Award 2025, alongside ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 accreditations, Constructionline Gold and Achilles UVDB audited status. We are also proud Patrons of ProCon Leicestershire.
Social value is embedded in how we operate. Through local supply chain engagement, education partnerships, employment opportunities and community initiatives, we actively contribute to the areas in which we work. Our ‘Engineered for Good’ approach ensures we deliver more than just infrastructure.
If you are planning a scheme and need a dependable delivery partner, we would welcome an early conversation.
No Dig. No Disruption. No Surprises.
Our Pipeline Solutions division delivers specialist trenchless rehabilitation, enabling critical assets to be repaired and maintained without excavation.
Whether working beneath highways, buildings or sensitive environments, our approach minimises disruption while maintaining programme certainty and cost efficiency. Roads remain open, operations continue as usual, and excavation-related risks are significantly reduced.
We support clients across utilities, highways, commercial and industrial environments, providing practical solutions where traditional methods are not viable or would introduce unnecessary risk.

If you are considering excavation, it is worth speaking to us first to explore whether a trenchless solution could reduce cost, programme and risk.
Pipeline Solutions forms part of our broader civil engineering offering, allowing us to support clients across multiple disciplines:
Highways
Delivery of road improvements, junction upgrades, drainage and active travel infrastructure across local authority and Tier 1 frameworks.
Bridgeworks
Construction and refurbishment of bridges and structures, often within constrained or technically challenging environments.
Public Realm
City centre regeneration and placemaking schemes that enhance accessibility and improve the built environment.
Infrastructure
Enabling works, drainage, access roads and site infrastructure to support development and long-term asset performance.
Waltham Cross: Public Realm Enhancement
Working on behalf of Broxbourne Borough Council, we delivered a major public realm scheme in the heart of Waltham Cross, designed to improve accessibility, enhance the town centre environment and support local businesses.
The scheme included high-quality paving, improved pedestrian routes, upgraded drainage and the introduction of new seating areas to create a more welcoming and functional space for residents and visitors. Careful planning and phased delivery ensured that disruption to businesses and the public was kept to a minimum throughout.
“On behalf of Broxbourne Borough Council, I would like to pass on my sincere thanks to the whole project team across all the organisations, and of course all the lads on the ground, for all their hard work, professionalism, determination and true grit in getting Waltham Cross High Street opened to the public by 30 November. Fantastic achievement. Well done and thank you!.”

Brancaster, Norfolk: Tidal Sewer Rehabilitation – Pipeline Solutions
Working on behalf of Anglian Water, we delivered a complex trenchless solution to address groundwater infiltration within a tidal sewer network in a coastal environment.
The scheme involved lining 670 metres of 150mm pipe using CIPP technology, installing patch liners to lateral connections and sealing manholes to prevent further ingress. Delivered within a one-month programme, the works were carefully planned to account for tidal conditions and ensure consistent progress on site.
The result was a significant improvement in network performance, reducing pressure on pumping stations and minimising the need for tanker movements through the village.
“Delivered to a high standard in a challenging tidal environment, this scheme has set the benchmark for how similar works should be approached across the alliance.”
