Ian Guyler Business Consulting 2026 Spotlight

As we approach the summer, it’s been the season of prestigious property events, both home and abroad. I’ve been taking advantage of the opportunities afforded for networking with peers and industry people, keeping up to date with the latest developments in the sector, and supporting some key partners and organisations. 

Back in March, I had the pleasure of joining friends and colleagues from Team Leicester UK at the annual MIPIM show in Cannes, France - the world’s leading annual international property market and real estate conference.

Having now been for over 15 years, it is still such a fantastically worthwhile event to attend. Existing contacts are strengthened and new ones comes come easily - everyone is open for talking and learning about each other.

Team Leicester joined over 20,000 top professionals from public and private sectors, developers, investors and city representatives, and Cannes was full!

Team Leicester were busy championing the Leicester and Leicestershire property and construction sector at various events and receptions, promoting the range of exciting opportunities for development and investment in the city and county.

As usual at MIPIM, there were events hosted by the likes of RSM UK, MDA Consulting, Searchland, Team Nottingham and many more!

I’m now looking forward to hearing about some of the deals developing and hopefully, bringing valuable investment opportunities to Leicester and Leicestershire! 

Fast forward to May and I headed to this year's UKREiiF in Leeds, which brought together property professionals, investors, developers and senior decision-makers from across the UK.

UKREiiF is known as the UK’s leading forum for real estate, investment and infrastructure. As always, it was good to meet up with the Team Leicester UK stalwarts there, outlining the positives that Leicester and Leicestershire and its vibrant economy has. I also got along to other well-attended events and drinks receptions with MDA Consulting, Pick Everard and Jefferson Sheard Architects.

The event goes from strength to strength and is a great complement to MIPIM - both of which are must-attend events if you’re in the industry in its widest definition!
