Join us for a breakfast event which will hear Sarah Harrison, City Centre Director at Leicester City Council talk about the latest city centre developments.

Sarah's presentation entitled: Leicester City Centre – Road to Economic Recovery and Resilience will cover the following.

The Covid pandemic accelerated the changing face of our city centres. Consumer behaviour is driving the evolution of our high street and retail is no longer the dominant driver of footfall. However, city centres have a bright future as a place for people to gather, to trade, to learn and have fun and Leicester has a head start.

The city businesses and residents showed remarkable resilience throughout the Covid pandemic and the city centre is well placed to come back stronger than before.

You will be able to hear about the plans for the city centre to create a multifunctional destination, amenity rich office spaces, a choice of accommodation, job creation and graduate retention, improved public transport, the animation of public spaces which together will create a greener, more inclusive resilient future.

We will also hear about The Gresham and the changes made to the iconic Fenwicks shop from Jason Sobey, Director of Aimrok plus there will be a tour of the premises .
