2016 ProCon Awards tickets sell out in five minutes

The 610 tickets for the 2016 ProCon Leicestershire property and construction awards ceremony were sold out in just five minutes on Tuesday [May 10].

The ProCon Awards are now in their fourteenth year and one of the hottest tickets in the Leicestershire business calendar were sold in record time.

The ceremony, on November 17, will see the winners of the six ProCon categories announced at Leicester City’s King Power Stadium.

ProCon chair Pam Allardice, of law firm Howes Percival, said: “We thought last year the tickets sold at Glastonbury–like speed. For tickets for a business awards event to sell out in five minutes takes the demand for ProCon Award places to unprecedented levels.

“The Awards Dinner is always a fantastic night when all those involved in the property and construction sector and more get together to party and celebrate the year’s achievements along with the ProCon Award winners.

“We’re sure there are many companies disappointed that they missed out despite being quick off the mark. There are tickets reserved for finalists, so we hope as many projects as possible will be entered.”

Four corporate sponsors are backing the Awards. They are Salus Approved Inspectors, Spearing Waite, Unique Window Systems and Westleigh Partnerships.

Cambridge & Counties Bank is sponsoring the Regeneration Award, EME Installations the Sustainable Development Award, Infrastructure Investments the Residential categories and Edward Cooper Young Chartered Surveyors the Non-residential awards. The Leicester Mercury is again supporting the Awards.

The 2015 Awards saw Spring Bank in Medbourne win Small Residential and St James Gate in Anstey win Large Residential. Leicestershire and Rutland Wildlife Trust’s Volunteer Training and Working Centre at Egleton won Small Non-residential whilst The Barn at the University of Nottingham’s Sutton Bonington campus was Large Non-residential winner. Regeneration Project winner was Connecting Leicester – Old Town and the Sustainable Development winner was Whitwell House in Rutland.

Companies still keen to attend the ceremony are welcome to join a reserve list. To do so, or to enquire about sponsorship opportunities, contact Allyson Jeffrey on 0870 170 9697 or via email: info@procon-leicestershire.co.uk
