C Henry & Sons appoints James Brackenbury as Operations Director

Established East Midlands building contractor C Henry & Sons has appointed James Brackenbury as Operations Director, strengthening its senior leadership team as the business continues to develop its construction operations. 

James brings more than 25 years' experience across building, construction, civil engineering and development, having progressed from a site based engineering role through to director-level operational and commercial leadership. 

He joins C Henry & Sons following more than 20 years with GKL Group, where he had day-to-day responsibility for the operational, technical and commercial running of a privately owned building, construction, civil engineering and development group. 

His experience covers commercial building, residential and mixed-use building and development, civil engineering, infrastructure and enabling works, with responsibility for multiple live projects and individual schemes valued up to £7.5m. He has also overseen projects through the full RIBA lifecycle, from feasibility and design coordination through to construction, handover and aftercare. 

At C Henry & Sons, James will have responsibility for supporting construction delivery and overall operational performance, with a particular focus on project delivery, commercial control, client relationships, health and safety, quality and the continued improvement of the company's systems and processes.

James holds a BEng (Hons) in Civil Engineering with Construction Management from Nottingham Trent University and a NEBOSH Health and Safety Management for Construction qualification.

James will be based at C Henry & Sons' Blaby operation and will work across the company's projects throughout the East Midlands.
