Corporate partner bolsters Freeths in the East Midlands
National law firm Freeths has again strengthened its corporate team in the East Midlands with the appointment of a partner.
Ania Verno, who joins from Shoosmiths, has more than ten years' sector experience specialising in tech, retail and asset-manager M&A.
She brings a background in advising management teams on buyouts, institution-sponsored deals and other transactional processes.
"I'm beyond thrilled to have joined Freeths at such an exciting time," said Verno."Having grown up in the East Midlands and called this buzzing region home for most of my life, I feel invested on a human level in its continued prosperity.
"So, when Freeths got in touch to tell me about their reignited strategic focus and serious expansion plans here, the opportunity was a no-brainer. Suffice to say we're definitely going to be a team to watch."
The appointment follows several corporate hires in the East Midlands over the last two months including partner Martin Smith and director Hannah Tessyman.
Leon Arnold, partner and head of corporate, said: "The addition of Ania to the team comes at an exciting time for Freeths, as the corporate team enjoys a consistent upwards growth trajectory.
"The wealth of experience that Ania will bring will only continue our strategy to bolster services for clients within the region, as well as lend hand to multiple, ongoing projects across the UK."
