Freeths appoints chief technology officer - previously of Forvis Mazars and BDO

Law firm Freeths has appointed a new chief technology officer, set to work across its 12 UK offices.

John Jones will be responsible for shaping and enacting the firm's technology strategy, with a focus on ensuring it has future-ready technology platforms to support colleagues and clients.

He brings more than 30 years' experience in technology and professional services, having begun his career as a software developer before progressing into senior leadership roles within professional services firms.

Most recently, Jones served as CTO at Forvis Mazars, and previously held senior technology positions at BDO.

He has experience working with enterprise platforms including Microsoft, Workday and legal-specific technologies.
