JMS Midlands’ housing development shortlisted for the ProCon property and construction awards 2022

We are delighted to announce that JMS Midlands are a finalist in the Medium Residential Scheme of the Year category at this years’ ProCon awards. These are the biggest and most prestigious awards in the Leicestershire property and construction industry, and we’re proud to be shortlisted in a year filled with so many amazing residential builds throughout the county.

The team have been put forward for their work on a nine-home development in Briscoe Lane, Woodhouse. The judges were impressed with the sheer attention to detail that went into the design, and the careful consideration made to using local materials, and the lengths the team went to in sourcing the right stone. The end result, new housing that blends in seamlessly with the rich style and look of the surrounding village, speaks for itself.

“To get shortlisted for the ProCon Awards is an incredible achievement, I’m proud of the team and the work they did on this project. From using ‘no dig’ construction techniques to preserve the roots of mature trees on the development, to designing foundations to span across existing services, they ensured the architect’s incredible vision could be made real.”

The team supported Staniforth Architects, Keller Construction and Reynolds Property on the development, and brought a variety of innovative low-impact, environmentally friendly techniques to the table. This allowed these properties to not only blend in with the village, but embrace modern heating, lighting and drainage needs too.

No-dig innovation.

With environmental impact on everyone’s mind during this project, the JMS team approached the design stage with careful thought. And it was thanks to their use of innovative ‘no-dig’ construction techniques when creating pathways that meant trees that might have required removal could not only be saved, but also add to the sympathetic look and feel of the properties.

With a traditional look achieved, these properties also enjoy modern thermal efficiency and rooflights that supply plenty of natural light. So it’s no surprise this unique development has seen huge amounts of interest from eager homebuyers.
