Work starts on almost 230 homes overlooking new Leicester City Training Ground

Vistry has started work on the construction of almost 230 homes overlooking the new Leicester City Training Ground. 

The Foxes View scheme will provide 228 homes on a 28.5‑acre site on Barnards Drive in Sileby.

Vistry has partnered affordable housing provider Midlands Heart on the significant project. 

Andy Reynolds, managing director of Vistry South East Midlands, said: "We are thrilled to have secured reserved matters approval and to be working with Midland Heart to deliver much-needed mixed-tenure homes. This milestone demonstrates our commitment to delivering high-quality, affordable homes in a sustainable manner, enhancing communities and meeting diverse housing needs.

"As construction begins, we look forward to welcoming residents from across the region. Foxes View will offer modern family homes in a well‑connected, thriving part of Leicestershire, and we are proud to be contributing to its future growth."

Situated on the eastern edge of Sileby, the development will provide a mix of one‑bedroom maisonettes and three‑ and four‑bedroom houses.

Director of development at Midland Heart, Chris Miller, said: "Foxes View is an important step in our journey to deliver 2,250 homes by 2030. We're bringing 153 affordable homes to the site, with 94 for social rent and 59 for shared ownership, which will make a real difference for people looking for a secure, good‑quality place to live.

All homes at Foxes View will be constructed using modern methods of construction, including precision‑engineered timber frame panels produced at Vistry Works in Bardon, Leicestershire.
