Leighfield Park is the £3.9 million first phase of Oakham Heights, a major urban expansion of the Rutland town of Oakham.
Developed by Larkfleet Homes, Leighfield Park offers ten styles of two, three, four and five bedroom properties. Phase One’s 34 properties are complete and work continues on a further 103 homes.
All Leighfield Park properties have solar PV (photovoltaic) panels fitted as standard.
Leighfield Park was designed to meet the need for high quality, energy-efficient housing in Rutland – for first-time buyers and growing families.
Larkfleet built a total of ten different varieties of house types in phase one. The use of stone is prominent in Oakham and so at Leighfield Park stone has been used on focal buildings and specific design areas together with stone window heads and cills.
Cul-de-sacs are not used at Leighfield Park. The layout was designed as a series of lanes which interconnect. The existing pond and stream were retained and enhanced.
There is an electric car charging point on site for residents and public use and allotments are offered to all residents.
