A new settlement on the edge of Packington created seven bungalows intended to cater for the ageing population.
Built on land previously used to graze horses, the development’s homes are arranged using a non-grid format to add to the aesthetics with the angles created to add interest and break a linear street scene.
Each of the two, three and four bedroomed properties has its own detached garaging and large front and rear gardens, and the site benefits from mature established planting to three boundaries.
Each of the bungalows and their garages use attic roof trusses, creating a large void within the loft area suitable for conversion. Rooflights were introduced to the roof slopes to allow natural light to these areas.
The use of PV solar panels, air source heat pumps and underfloor heating help the thermally efficient homes be energy efficient, and each garage has electric car charging facilities.
All the bungalows’ bedrooms have their own en-suite facilities and all were sold with residents moved in by May 2025.
