An Award made for an infrastructure project of any size or type completed in the 30 months prior to 30th June 2025. This can relate to transport, highways, civil and structural engineering projects, drainage schemes, public realm works and also masterplanning.
Projects must be located in the boundaries of Leicestershire and Rutland and not have previously been entered for a ProCon Award.
The £8.5m A50 corridor project included substantial remodelling of the Fiveways junction – a long term source of driver confusion, congestion and disruption along one of the busiest strategic routes in Leicester.
The infrastructure and landscaping enabling the creation of Leicestershire’s first garden village has created a Charnwood Forest inspired sense of arrival and a sense of place for Broadnook, just south of Rothley.
Two new bridges were constructed across the old River Soar to replace an old bridge to the Freemens Meadow housing in Leicester.
The application will be judged by a panel of expert judges and a shortlist selected by the end of July 2025.
The shortlisted projects will then be visited by the panel of judges on Monday 11th August 2025 in order to select three finalists.
The winner of the Infrastructure Project of the Year Award will be decided by the panel of expert judges.
